Team work: Have fun
Baroque Rallye
Baroque festivities are brought back to life in amusing competitions divided into nine sections. Saxon’s Prime Minister, his director the Lord Steward, and two really beautiful dancers instruct the legation (that’s you) in the individual competition disciplines. These include an immaculate curtsey, handling a sword (basic stance, defence, attack), dancing together the Anglaise and the Minuette, or the »Damenringelrennen« (the merry-go-round), which the men are not allowed to take part in.

The invention of the SAXONIA
As a student of the Technical University of Dresden you will become part of a moving history. Professor Andreas Schubert, pioneer of the era of industrialisation and gifted engineer, attempts to acquaint his students with the advantages of his brilliant development, the first German steam engine. Together with your professor you will plan and draw up a railway line, including crossing the Elbe between Dresden and Leipzig. You will discover the functioning of a steam engine and learn how to operate it, in order finally to take part in the maiden voyage. Culinary delights (amongst other things sweet yeast dumplings) will round up the entertaining lesson and give you the necessary mental energy.

City puzzle rallye
On our interactive city rallye, you can get to know Dresden in an amusing and entertaining way. The teams are sent out to hunt down puzzle pieces to make up a typical Dresden image. Armed with a road-book (route, information, questions and tasks), Polaroid camera (for original photos), admission tickets, miniature canvass and a city plan, teamwork is necessary to be able to solve tricky assignments at various points around the city centre, to be able to ask the right insiders for assistance and to take the right photos.
- max. 400 persons per event
Dresden photo workshop
Creativeness, imagination and teamwork are the priorities here. The teams of 5-10 persons are provided with a city plan, a task book, travel tickets and above all Polaroid cameras. The participants must decide themselves, in which order the assignments are to be tackled. There is no shortage of themes for such a photo rallye: Dresden from above - Postcard views - Architectural styles - Famous works of art - Dresden inventions - Pleasure Saxon-style - The most beautiful daughters of Saxony - Old Saxony - Who is in charge in Dresden? - and many more. In the course of the workshop, the teams develop their own original presentations (e.g. photo albums, flip-charts, home pages, Powerpoint presentations), which are then shown and awarded prizes during the concluding evening get-together.
- max. 300 persons per event
Dresden Movie Award
Dresden becomes a movie set for the teams, who can then get to know the city's sights in interactive fashion and produce their own Dresden film. The storyboard which each team receives at the start of the day specifies the route to be taken. With the aid of city plans, guide books and tram tickets, the participants must find their own way to the various points of interest. A professional director's assistant helps out with the camera work at each location. After the tour, the film material is edited in a studio and completed with a soundtrack. The presentation of the films at the subsequent evening event is guaranteed to be an unforgettable occasion. The best films receive an award.
- max. 300 persons per event
